Dan Monaghan will be missed by many in passenger rail advocacy
movement in Texas and the Southwest.
Dan’s opinions were respected by many, including those who worked for Amtrak.
Dan was one of those who resurrected TXARP in November 1998, he
attended many TXARP and even some NARP functions when he was able.
Prior to his illness, Dan served two terms on the DART Board of
Directors & was most jubilant when the first year of operations
ridership statistics exceeded predictions. Dan will be missed by
many for his wisdom in passenger rail advocacy.
