Mr. Farley goes to Phoenix

From the Tucson Daily Star’s Political Notebook by Daniel Scarpinato [emphasis added -- AzRail Ed.]

A recent posting on Craigslist caught the attention of a few politicos:

“I am a committed environmentalist from Tucson who happens to serve in the State Legislature in Phoenix,” read the posting, which quickly made its may onto Democratic blogger Ted Prezelski’s site (rumromanismrebellion.net). “We don’t yet have the commuter rail I am working on, so for now, I have to have a car … If you cherish a Honda Insight, Toyota Prius, or Honda Civic Hybrid with less than 100,000 miles, and would like your car to have a loving new home to help me preserve the Arizona environment, I can pay cash (up to $8,000) and would like to do so ASAP.”

The creator of the ad was, of course, Tucson’s Steve Farley — a Democratic state representative who has committed his political career to trolleys, trains and mass transit solutions…
